My name is Scott and this is my best friend, Cosmo.
We have embarked on an exciting, and at times, seemingly scary adventure. It was two years in the planning and developmental stages, and now I have retired, sold my commercial building (once home of The Soap Fairy, and most recently Y Chromosome Massage Studio) and taken up the nomadic life on a permanent basis. I lived in my van in the back parking lot of my building from September of 2021 until the end of June, and gradually moved everything I needed into the van, installed solar panels, upgraded the kitchen cupboards to have more storage, and basically settled in.
I sold the building in June of 2021, and I started my travels. I’m currently traveling the U.S. and seeing friends who I’ve not seen for years, and camping in National Forests, and on BLM land (Bureau of Land Management). With solar power and full tanks of water, Cosmo and I are pretty self-sufficient and can live comfortably off-grid for long periods. We’ve planned a route that will keep us mostly in spring and fall weather, doing our best to avoid freezing temps and blazing heat. If we don’t like where we wake up in the morning, we drive to someplace else before nightfall. So join us, if only vicariously, and share the continuing journey.
